Work-Based Learning Program Application Process
GETTING STARTED
Below are the requirements for eligibility to apply for the Work-Based Learning program.
Please review each item carefully BEFORE COMPLETING THE APPLICATION.
TO APPLY STUDENTS MUST:
• be a junior or senior on track for graduation
• have good Attendance and Disciplinary Records (No more than 10 UNEXCUSED absences
and/or tardies for the current and/or previous school year or semester (depends on which
semester you are applying for)
• not have had ISS or OSS for the current and/or previous school year or semester (again,
depends on which semester you are applying)
• be at least 16 years old
• have parental permission to participate
• be a CTAE Pathway Completer or Concentrator (you have completed at least 2 aligned
courses in ONE specific pathway)
• have RELIABLE transportation daily - to and from school AND to your job site; remaining on
campus after your dismissal time nor riding the school bus after school are allowed

STUDENTS MAY ENROLL IN DHST-SOUTH (OEC) PROGRAMS AND WORKBASED
LEARNING IN THE SAME SEMESTER!!!!!!!!!
You do not have to be employed to APPLY, however, you MUST be employed by August 16, 2024.
