Through the Foundation, monies are raised to support scholarship opportunities for deserving students pursuing studies in communication.  The CrossRoadsNews Foundation will make scholarships available to students from underserved communities who wish to pursue careers in print and digital media.  To honor the memory and work of late DeKalb School Board member Elizabeth Andrews, the Foundation will present The Elizabeth Andrews Memorial Journalism Scholarship.  The 2015 Elizabeth Andrews Memorial Journalism Scholarship Program   The publishers and owners of CrossRoadsNews, Inc., east metro Atlanta's weekly community newspaper, established the CrossRoadsNews Foundation in 2005 to support communication needs throughout the DeKalb County.

The goal of the Summer Bridge Program is to provide rising ninth grade students a chance to bridge the gap from middle school to high school with a full “week” of orientation instead of a few hours, as has been the norm.  The focus will be on developing study, social, and literacy skills needed to be successful in ninth grade classes.
